Day 4: Organizing to End the Federal Death Penalty in the #First100 Days
Here’s how to be most impactful in supporting the campaign to pass HR 262, the Federal Death Penalty Prohibition Act of 2021.
Here are three quick actions to consider for yourself, and just as important, to invite others to join you by taking action themselves:
- Anyone may sign this THANK YOU petition to President Biden, which we will be delivering to him on Monday afternoon. We anticipate his signing an Executive Order prohibiting federal and military executions on Tuesday. We want to support him in that, and ask him to take it further.
- Anyone may use this tool to quickly message their members of congress. Once complete, people will receive further guidance on additional direct contact with their members of congress.
- Any organized body (faith group, including individual houses of worship, business, team, club, etc.) may sign on to join this list. Click to see the list. (Please do not take this action if you are not officially representing an organization.)
Of course, any individual or organization may choose to manage these contacts on their own. What is important is that they do so, AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. We are already into day four of the first 100 days!
Yours in the Struggle,
— abe
