FEDERAL DEATH PENALTY ABOLITION BILLS INTRODUCED!
This afternoon, Rep. Ayanna Pressley and Senator Richard Durban introduced legislation to abolish the federal death penalty! You may have heard the story on National Public Radio.

Even as all of that is exciting, we much remember that there are three scheduled executions this week. I am getting ready to drive to Terre Haute to prepare to protest should the many many efforts to stop these executions fail. 59% of Americans are aware of the federal execution spree set to continue next week, and about half of those polled oppose it. This is important, because it means that there are many millions who would do something, if you invite them to act!
That’s good news. We don’t have to change anyone’s mind. We just have to find those who agree with us and get them to do something!

The new session of congress started yesterday. Everyone who lives in the United States who opposes executions gets to use this tool to write to the members of congress who represent them. It does not matter if you are old enough to vote, or even if you are a citizen. If you live here, they represent you. Write today, and invite others to join you!
