Help End Ohio’s Death Penalty This Year!
Today Death Penalty Action is launching a push to urge passage of Ohio Senator Nickie Antonio’s bi-partisan bill, SB 296, which would repeal Ohio’s death penalty. I was invited to stand with Senator Antonio, Senator Lehner, former Ohio Governor Strickland, Rev. Dr. Jack Sullivan, Jr. of the Ohio Council of Churches and others when that bill was introduced in March. Then COVID-19 hit, and priorities were elsewhere.
Stand with Senator Antonio this Friday in a virtual press conference via Zoom at 9:30am to call for passage of SB 296 this year. Speakers include Rev. Dr. Jack Sullivan, Jr., ED of the Ohio Council of Churches, Exonerated Ohio Death Row Survivor Kwame Ajamu, Faith in Public Life’s Blyth Barnow, and others.
