RESULTS!
Death Penalty Action was invited to mobilize abolitionists to action around the news that the first Republican had signed on as a co-sponsor of the Federal Death Penalty Prohibition Act of 2021. We also wanted to use the moment to announce significant new community supporters of the bill.
With your help, Death Penalty Action stepped up to make it happen.
We asked ourselves: What would make sense to support the very first Republican to jump on board with 92 Democrats in Congress?
- How about Business Leaders Against the Death Penalty?
- How about the faith community?
- How about a survivor of the victims of the most notorious and well known prisoner on the federal death row?
- How about the other victims of the death penalty — the families of the condemned?
And so, Death Penalty Action pulled it all together. The result?
